INSTRUCTORS

SEBASTIAN GIL

Sebastian began his circus journey in Barquisimeto, Venezuela in June of 2013. Having found his passion for acrobatics, within a year, Sebastian founded “Acrobacias Aigle”, or Eagle Acrobatics, a successful circus academy in Barquisimeto. All of his students have had great success in putting on spectacular aerial performances. Many of his students have gone on to have successful professional circus careers.

In addition to aerial silks, he also practices aerial straps, pole sport, aerial hoop, trapeze, aerial cube, and aerial rope. He is dedicated to the success of his students, many of whom have done extremely well in competition. He has successfully written and directed numerous plays utilizing circus arts to portray emotion that words simply cannot express. Sebastian is a kind, patient instructor dedicated to the success of his students.

ANNETTE GARCIA




Annette began taking aerial silks classes in 2017 and fell completely in love. Since then, she has diversified her skill set and familiarized herself with various other apparatuses. In order to help gain strength to aid with her aerial training, Annette began taking Strong by Zumba classes. Since then, she has seen significant increases in her strength and has received her certification as a Strong by Zumba instructor.

ANDRES BUSSE




Andres is a Miami native who began practicing aerial arts in 2016. Since then, he has had the opportunity to learn from many different instructors and has created his own unique style of teaching that focuses on the strengths and weaknesses of each individual student and aims to help them reach their maximum potential. Andres welcomes students of any level or age group to try his Lyra class and see what they are capable of.

BARBARA ALONSO



Barbara’s love for the arts and movement began in childhood with ballet lessons that would continue into early adulthood. Barbara has also studied styles such as jazz and hip hop that she continues to incorporate into her aerial training. Barbara began her aerial training almost two years ago. With her consistency and dedication she was able to begin teaching Lyra in September of 2019. Barbara provides encouragement to her students to help them reach their highest potential while having fun. She continues her aerial training on other apparatuses such as aerial silks and aerial straps.

DANIELA ESAA





Daniela is Sky Arts Studio’s resident aerial yoga instructor. She has learned from many highly skilled instructors and has developed her own practice with a focus on patience with the self. She welcomes anyone with an interest in trying aerial to her class and fall in love with aerial arts like she has.

NESTOR SANDOVAL




Nestor is a certified personal trainer and AcroYoga instructor who began his practice in his hometown in Venezuela. He has been practicing AcroYoga since 2014 when he decided that he would like to find a practice that would help him to connect with others rather than limit himself to self exploration. Since then, he has taught at various festivals, events, and workshops. He is a highly skilled instructor with a great amount of patience.

VERONICA PIETROBON




Before joining the Sky Arts Studio family, Veronica spent 15 years mastering the arts of ballet and flamenco dancing. During that time, she learned proper and effective techniques to improve flexibility for students of varying ages and skill levels. Veronica is currently mastering the art of the aerial silks, and helping students to improve their flexibility as an instructor here at Sky Arts Studio.

CLASSES

AERIAL SILKS

Learn to climb, pose, and drop with style! Our aerial silk classes combines artistic flow with various strength and flexibility exercises to create an exciting and dynamic workout experience. All levels are welcome.

STRONG BY ZUMBA

Strong by Zumba is a HIIT class combining body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves that are synchronized to the beat of the music. It is an hour-long class that works out your entire body and is ideal for reaching your fitness goals and will challenge students to reach new ones. Students will burn a large number of calories while toning their arms, legs, abs and glutes. This is an important ground-based class that will complement progress in any of our aerial classes. This class is ideal for all ages and levels.

FLEXIBILITY

SkyArts flexibility is a focused program aimed to help beginners of any age to reach their goals and improve their aerial skills. This class also challenges more advanced athletes to push their limits to new levels. Our classes focus on various techniques and methods of flexibility, how to combine them, and how to execute them safely and see results.

AERIAL YOGA

Through the use of an aerial hammock, this class consists of a combination of deep stretching focused on increasing mobility and strengthening techniques aimed at increasing core and upper body strength. Come find your Zen with this multi-level class!

ACRO YOGA

AcroYoga is an activity which incorporates acrobatics and partner yoga in one. This interaction contributes to developing trust, effective communication, and proprioception in body awareness. It could be used as a workout or to better one’s motor skills. It requires a minimum of two people (a base and a flyer) but ideally, three people (a spotter) to ensure safety. Single practitioners and students of any level are welcome!

LYRA

This class uses a lyra, also known as an aerial hoop, to help you develop a new set of skills and strengths. In this multi level class we will work on building strength & flexibility, as well as various poses and tricks while the hoop is either static or spinning. We will also work on linking moves together to create sequences that can later be used in choreography. Each 1 hour long class consists of a warm-up to prepare the muscles and prevent injury. Followed by guided technique instruction and will conclude with a brief cool down.
